Video
Google Video is a free site where you can upload MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 video files for display in a web site. Use editing software to convert your videos of SBK performances and share them with the world! (If you want to see all the SBK videos, go to Google Video and search "South Bay Kids". Other free video sites include Youtube and Yahoo Video.
Load your portable gear with the sounds of South Bay Kids
Here is a procedure you can follow to play South Bay Kids videos on your portable devices.
I have uploaded videos to Google Video (video.google.com), and you can view them, or you can download the files for playback on your computer, IPOD or PSP.
To download any of these videos, visit video.google.com and search for South Bay Kids. Find the video you want and on the right side of the screen you can download it for IPOD, Sony PSP, or Windows/Mac.
To save to your computer, select the Windows/Mac option. Download the Google Video player first, because it is required for download. Then download the video. It will appear in the Google Video player while it is downloading. Let it finish, and the file will be saved to your computer. Once you have the Google player, you can download any Google video.
(The download is kind of odd--the video plays in the video player, which indicates both download and playback progress. After going once through the file, the file is saved to your computer.)
The file will have a name ending with .gvi, because it is meant to be played by the Google Video Player. It is really an AVI video file, that was renamed, so, just change the .gvi to .avi and it can be viewed by any video player.
I copied the .avi file to my Treo phone and I can play an SBK video any time, anywhere.
